Branch Pick-Up
This Spring branch pickup will follow a similar pattern to leaf collection using the ZONES set forth below.
Tree limbs up to 6” in diameter should be left whole. Small branches should be bundled with brush. Please put sticker bushes in a separate pile. Do not mix leaves in with the branches and brush. Please keep debris away from fire hydrants. Place branches at the curbside, not in the gutter. This program is for the maintenance of landscaped residential property only, NOT FOR CLEARING OF WOODED LOTS. The DPW has been instructed to spend no more than 15-20 minutes per household, in order to ensure that all residents get their brush collected in a timely fashion. If your branches were not collected, a tag will be left for the homeowner with the reason. If leaves/grass/debris is mixed in, the branches and/or brush will not be collected and the homeowner will be responsible for disposal.
Only bagged leaves (not loose leaves) will also be collected during the same period as the branch collection. Bags can be obtained at Town Hall, free of charge to residents. You are to put your branches and bagged leaves out at the curb the weekend before collection for your zone begins. If branches or leaf bags are placed at curbside after the collection date they will not be collected.
