Thank you so much for your patience as public works and public safety have been working continuously to provide for access to all neighborhoods and ensuring the safety of our community. Our emergency shelter closed earlier today and had housed several dozen people who had been displaced due to rising water.

The Township is continuing to assess damage to areas affected. Greenbrook Road from Mountain Parkway to Sebrings Mills is still compromised and closed. The municipal building will be closed to the public tomorrow (9/3) but will reopen on Tuesday, 9/7. Staff will be continuing to check messages and help in any way we can.

The Township is awaiting word on disaster relief that would allow for debris disposal assistance to those affected by flood damage. More details to follow as soon as they are available. However regardless of whether you, your insurance company or the Township will be handling debris removal, placing the debris curbside is the most efficient place to put the debris (not in the shoulder or roadway). Please keep in mind that any Township collection would be limited to storm related debris only. Stay tuned for more info on this.

Branch debris should be removed from the curb until the fall branch collection period (beginning Oct. 11) so that DPW can focus on storm related matters.
