As everyone is aware, the Township was hit with an fast moving storm which resulted in widespread flooding. Our emergency services professionals along with many mutual aid departments from other areas worked tirelessly overnight to ensure the safety of our residents and performed water rescues as well as housed rescue victims at IEF Elementary School. The Township is continuing to assess damage to areas affected. The municipal building will be closed to the public today (7/15) with a reopening plan to be determined. Staff will be continuing to check messages and help in any way that we can. The Township is awaiting word on disaster relief that would allow for debris disposal assistance to those affected by flood damage. More details to follow as soon as they are available. However regardless of whether you, your insurance company or the Township will be handling debris removal, placing the debris curbside is the most efficient place to put the debris (not in the shoulder or roadway). Please keep in mind that any Township collection would be limited to storm related debris from flood zones only. Stay tuned for more info on this. Branch debris from the prior emergency can also be re-piled, but please do not mingle tree debris and storm debris.
